Irish Food: Myths, Mixes and Misconceptions

Rachel Gaffney was born and raised in Cork, Southern Ireland. She now resides with her family in Dallas and is the woman behind the brand “Rachel Gaffney’s Ireland”.

Over the years, people would frequently ask Rachel about Irish food, fashion, and customs. Rachel noticed their perception of Ireland seemed to be far removed from the Ireland she knew and loved. More often than not, they were surprised to hear about Ireland’s world-class food.

“It’s a food revolution. I’ve never seen anything like it. Everyone has been doing their part to elevate the standard of Irish food to one that is comparable, if not better than, French and Italian cuisine. So why are we not getting that message in America?”
